You inherit the shape and length of your bones, connective tissue extensibility, and some degree of muscle tone. . Early food choices & modeling movements of those closest to you reinforce or counteract that inherited muscle tone. . What’s left in the equation are the biomechanical adaptations to the physical choices you are CURRENTLY making. . Herniated discs are not inevitable if you have a family history of back pain. But preventing disc pain involves learning new ways to move (& perhaps eat) than you’ve been taught as a kid.
